Union Station Wedding in Nashville / English and John
English and my mom grew up together, so when she asked me about photographing her wedding I was especially excited and honored to travel to Nashville for her and John's big day at Union Station.
They both live in California, and have friends and family scattered throughout the country, with everyone coming together in her hometown for a beautiful weekend full of celebration.
We started with a gorgeous bridal luncheon, featured on Wedding Chicks, followed by a rehearsal dinner with toasts that had everyone both laughing and crying all at once- myself included!
Union Station is an old train station that is now a hotel in downtown Nashville. The lobby was beautifully converted into a ceremony space, and then reception hall, with florals and installations throughout. Amos carefully planned every last detail to make this space feel both elegant and effortless.
Right as their ceremony was ending a streaker ran through and out into the street, in a hilarious moment that I and the wedding party completely missed as we had just walked out. If there was ever a bunch of people that could laugh about it it's these folks and it somehow made the night even better.
I so loved spending time with this crew, looking back through their photos now has me very excited to get back to pre-pandemic celebrations and especially receptions! The band was simply incredible and I’ll never forget how much fun it was to celebrate.
A big thank you to all of the vendors below and Faith Rowley for second shooting with me!
