St Jude's Tiny Chapel & Max Patch Wedding: Mary and Joel

This beautiful day was one for the books.

Joel and Mary were married in the tiniest church you ever saw with only their pastor, daughters, and myself in attendance on a pretty September afternoon. Both bride and groom wrote their own vows, and Joel gave each of the girls a necklace with a cross and their birthstone. He read them a letter about the promises he was also making to Isabella and Penelope; to care and be there for them each and every day for the rest of his life. It was so thoughtful and heartfelt there wasn't a dry eye in the room. 

Afterwards we drove through the dusty back roads of Madison County to get to Max Patch. The girls ran around the fields with Isabella borrowing my "teacher sweater" and saying hello to everyone we passed.
